Cold Steel President Lynn C. Thompson has become enamored with the simple functionality of drop-forged knives. Their solid

Cold Steel's Monolithic fixed blades are drop-forged (not cheaply cast!) from 52100 high carbon steel. Their solid steel bodies
are expertly heat-treated from the tip of their sharp blades to the butt of their stout handles. Furthermore, each one is
ergonomically contoured with a deep trough in the handle for a comfortable and secure grip. Easy to modify and simple to
customize, they also make great project knives for re-handling, filework, engraving or any other fun modification projects.
Cold Steel's drop-forged blades come complete with a Secure-Ex® sheath. 

Drop Forged Bowie

Cold Steel's President Lynn C Thompson proclaimed that the Drop Forged Bowie is one of the best minimalist Bowie-style knives he
had ever held. Inspired by a blade in Lynn's private collection (made by an Arkansas-based custom knife maker), the Drop Forged
Bowie is one of the smallest bowie style fixed blades Cold Steel has ever produced. It features a stiff, sharp 6.75 in.
(approx. 17 cm) clip point blade, a sturdy guard and a very comfortable drop-style handle ? all drop-forged from one solid piece
of heat-treated steel! Lynn went on to say: This is everything you could want in a mini bowie, and it's fast as can be! I love
this knife!

The Drop Forged Bowie is sold complete with a versatile and secure Secure-Ex® sheath, allowing for a wide range of carry
options. 

52100 High Carbon Steel 

52100 High Carbon is a hard-wearing steel which is an excellent choice for custom hunting and outdoor fixed blades. Often used by
custom knife makers in forged blades that require toughness and wear resistance in unforgiving conditions.
